Katy is the primary upd8 editor. She thinks that science is exciting, stimulating and above all great fun - and she'd like others to think so too! Science should be engaging and what better way than to present topical issues and contemporary dilemmas.

When she is not editing, Katy creates and delivers innovative, hands-on science workshops for primary and secondary, writes newsletters and activities for Planet Science and a host of others as Science Matters. And any spare time(!) is taken care of by her three primary-age children. The downside being they need to try out her experiments first...
