As the Curriculum Development Manager at the Association for Science Education, Cally is responsible for curriculum development activities and initiation and management of projects including new resources to support science teaching and learning. She helps the upd8 team by keeping an eye on the media, suggesting activities, writing briefs and supporting the primary upd8 writing team. Cally also works with the primary and 11-19 Committees and manages the project developing the new SATIS (Science and Technology in Society) resources for science teachers as well as supporting teachers and technicians through curriculum changes.

Cally has more than 20 years experience working in science education and science communication. An experienced teacher and author of 15 books, Cally has an international reputation as a Geologist and Gemmologist and enjoys enthusing about science, working with schools, museums, universities, employers and others.
